Dinner for Mertonians

Posted: 2017/12/27 | Author: UOJO

Merton College will be holding a special dinner for Mertonians on the evening of Tuesday 23 January 2018 in central Tokyo. The dinner will be hosted by the Warden of Merton College Sir Martin Taylor and his wife Lady Taylor who are both looking forward to meeting and re-connecting with many of the College’s Japan-based alumni.

Merton is one of the oldest and most beautiful colleges in Oxford with fine gardens and a central position between the meadows and the main centre of the city.  The College celebrated its 750th anniversary in 2014. Sir Martin Taylor is a leading mathematician and past Vice-President of the The Royal Society. He became Warden of Merton College in 2010, and as he is due to retire next year, this will be his last visit to Japan as Warden of the College.

If you are a Mertonian based in Japan and have not yet received an invitation to this very special dinner, please contact the Merton College Alumni Office for more information.
