News

One hundred students and alumni from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge in Japan have joined forces to create a project called Oxbridge no ryugi. The members are all writing articles about their experiences at the UK’s two leading universities, and these are being published on the Gendai Business online website. The articles aim to introduce readers to the special features of both universities and describe how Oxford and Cambridge succeed in nurturing future global leaders in all areas of business, cultural and political life.

The articles are published every week and cover a range of issues and perspectives from the independent angle of each of the contributors. Together they form a powerful account of the unique attractions of an Oxbridge education.

In February 2015 the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Professor Andrew Hamilton met representatives of the group and engaged in a lively discussion with them about how to encourage more outstanding Japanese students to apply to the University. You can read about their discussion here.

You can read the Oxbridge no ryugi articles on Gendai Business Online. The group also has a Facebook page where you can find the latest information about their activities.
