The Oxford Institute of Population Ageing was established in 1998 under the leadership of Director, Professor Sarah Harper. The Institute brings together academics and researchers from multi-disciplinary backgrounds, who together look at the demography and economics of ageing populations around the world. In addition to research across a wide range of subjects related to demographic change, the Institute also holds events and other activity to enhance understanding and initiate debate around issues relating to ageing and population change.
