Event

Professor Andrew Hamilton will be completing his very successful term as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford at the end of December 2015. In January he will take up the post of President of New York University, and be succeeded in Oxford by Professor Louise Richardson, currently Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of St Andrews.

Professor Hamilton has been a regular visitor to Japan ever since his time as a young postdoc researcher in Kyoto. He has made several visits in his capacity as Vice-Chancellor over the past six years to meet alumni, partners and friends of the University, and has been a strong supporter and advocate for developing links for Oxford in Japan.

We are delighted to organise an afternoon drinks party on Saturday 14 November for all alumni and guests to say farewell to Professor Hamilton, and hear his reflections on his time as the 271st Vice-Chancellor of the University.

Join us for a pre-dinner cocktail and a unique chance to meet the Vice-Chancellor during his final visit to Japan in his current post. Professor and Mrs Hamilton are looking forward to seeing you all there.

This party is open to all alumni and their families, current students, friends, and contacts of the University. A similar farewell party for Professor Hamilton is also planned for alumni and friends in the Kansai region in the evening of Friday 13 November.
