Every year Oxford’s Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism conducts research into the digital consumption of news and produces a Digital News Report. This year the report looks across 46 countries including Japan, and is the most comprehensive look into digital news market trends across the globe.

On 28 July 2022 from 13:00-14:30, NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute will hold an online seminar looking at how news consumption is changing particularly from the perspective of Japan. Speakers at the event will include two former fellows of the Reuters Institute Yasuomi Sawa of Senshu University and Reiko Saisho of NHK.
