Applications for the Sakaguchi International Scholarship Foundation’s DPhil scholarship starting in April 2020 will be open from 1 October – 30 November 2019. This is a scholarship for outstanding Japanese DPhil students at Oxford who are intending to take a leadership role in an international organisation in future. The successful applicant will be awarded 100,00JPY per month from April 2020 for a maximum of 36 months.
Sakaguchi International Scholarship Foundation was founded in 1988 and has been awarding scholarships to foreign students coming to study in Japan for many years. This is the second year they have offered a scholarship to a Japanese student undertaking a DPhil in Oxford who wishes to contribute actively to international understanding, global friendship and world peace.
