Sunday 1 March 2015
Join alumni from ten of the world’s leading international research-intensive universities for a day of presentations and panel discussions on the theme of Japan today. The forum on 1 March 2015 is entitled “Economics, Culture and Innovation: Lessons from Japan” and will feature speeches by prominent experts from a range of fields, including architect Kengo Kuma and sociologist Shunya Yoshimi. The University of Oxford’s Vice-Chancellor Andrew Hamilton will join other university Presidents to discuss the future of global innovation, and the day will end with a networking reception for all participants. The Forum will be preceded by an optional study tour to “discover unknown Japan” on Saturday 28 February.
This event is being organised by IARU: the International Alliance of Research Universities, of which Oxford is a member. It is the first event of its kind to bring together the alumni from top universities for a day of presentations and networking.
