UOJO (University of Oxford Japan Office) UOJO ONLINE User Agreement
1.GENERAL RULES AND DEFINITIONS
1.1 This User Agreement, which includes the Operating Rules set forth herein constitutes User’s Agreement with the University of Oxford Japan Office (UOJO), with respect to User’s use of the UOJO website (the website).
1.2 Use of the website by User constitutes User’s agreement with the terms and conditions of this User Agreement. UOJO reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this User Agreement at any time. Notification of changes in service will be posted on the Service, or sent via email, or postal mail.
1.3 IF THESE OPERATING RULES OR ANY FUTURE CHANGES ARE UNACCEPTABLE TO USER, OR CAUSE USER TO NO LONGER BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE USER AGREEMENT, USER MAY TERMINATE USE. USER’S CONTINUED USE OF THE WEBSITE NOW, OR FOLLOWING THE POSTING OF NOTICE OF ANY CHANGES IN THESE OPERATING RULES, WILL CONSTITUTE A BINDING ACCEPTANCE BY USER OF SUCH RULES, CHANGES, OR MODIFICATIONS.
1.4 UOJO may change, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the website at any time, including the availability of any Service feature, database, or content. UOJO may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict User access to parts or all of the website without notice or liability.
2. UOJO CONTENT AND USER SUBMISSIONS
2.1 The contents of the UOJO website are intended for the personal use of its Users. All materials published on the UOJO website (including, but not limited to articles, photographs, images, illustrations, audio clips and video clips, also known as “The Content”) are protected by copyright, and owned or controlled by UOJO, or the party credited as the provider of the content, software, or other materials. User shall abide by all additional copyright notices, information, or restrictions contained in any Content accessed through the Service.
2.2 The website is protected by copyright as a collective work and/or compilation, pursuant to Japanese copyright laws, international conventions, and other copyright laws. 3. ACCESS AND AVAILABILITY OF WEBSITE AND LINKS
As a general rule, OUJO will not object should you have a text link from your website to this site. However, you may not present our website content as your own. A link to the website must not be used to imply endorsement of your website, related products or services, or for any other commercial purposes. Your site must not conflict with the aims of the University of Oxford. We do not permit a website to link if it contains material which is illegal, libellous, defamatory, obscene, or offensive, or in a way has a negative impact on our reputation. OUJO reserves the right to restrict the posting of links to this webite at its sole discretion.
4. LIABILITY AND USE
User should use this website in a respectful way to all other users of this website and not to use this website in such a way that disrupts, interferes with or restricts the use of this website by other users. OUJ reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to correct any errors or omissions in any portion of the website and shall not be liable for any loss or damage to User arising either from such errors or omissions, or from the correction thereof. The website and all downloadable software are distributed on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind. User hereby acknowledges that use of the website is at User’s sole risk.
5. COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN UOJO AND USERS
UOJO reserves the right to send electronic mail to any and all Users, to for the purpose of informing them of changes or additions to the website UOJO reserves the right to disclose information about User usage and demographics in forms that do not reveal Users’ personal identities.
6. MISCELLANEOUS
6.1 This User Agreement has been made in and shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Tokyo, Japan.
6.2 Official correspondence must be sent by postal mail to the University of Oxford Japan Office in Sanbancho.
