The Ashmolean Museum is currently holding a major exhibition on the theme of the city of Tokyo.
Tokyo: Art and Photography explores Tokyo and the art that the city has produced over the last 400 years. It includes well-known woodblock prints as well as work and specially commissioned pieces by contemporary photographers, along with other artworks such as video pieces, and folding screens. The exhibition runs until 3 January 2022 and has been getting excellent reviews.
In the video below, the two curators talk about the exhibition and present some of the artworks that feature in it.
If you are in Oxford and would like to see the exhibition, tickets can be reserved online through the Museum’s website.
