Vice-Chancellor in Tokyo

Professor Irene Tracey will be visiting Japan at the end of this month in her first visit to Japan as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford.

Professor Tracey did her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Oxford, and after a postdoctoral position at Harvard came back to Oxford and became Professor of Anaesthetic Neuroscience in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. She held a number of senior positions in the University including Warden of her alma mater Merton College. She became Vice-Chancellor of the University in 2023.

On her visit to Japan this time the Vice-Chancellor will be accompanied by Chief Development and Alumni Engagement Officer Liesl Elder.

On Thursday 29 February we will be holding an Alumni Event in Tokyo. Alumni will be sent information about this event separately.

We are looking forward to welcoming the Vice-Chancellor to Japan.
